| PrimaGuide® Tip: “Manager Tracker” Users of PrimaGuide have a powerful tool in the Manager Tracker. Let us illustrate why.
Need to stay informed of developments (big and small) at the money managers where your clients are invested?
· Of course! If you assign those products to your Manager Tracker, you have the option to receive important, timely alerts and intra-quarter analyst update notifications through your email from Prima’s Analyst staff.
· Benefit: Stay informed and enhance dialogue with clients.
Researching products and short on time?
· Create a Manager Tracker for the products under consideration and generate a product comparison with a click of the mouse.
· Or quickly and easily navigate the research analytics in PrimaGuide by using the tracker. Users can quickly switch from one product to another and remain focused on the same analytic.
Do you routinely create historical simulations or portfolio models from the same list of products?
· Use the manager tracker to create a group of your favorite products (SMAs, mutual funds, and ETFs) and easily reference that list as you build simulations and portfolios.
You can add products to your manager tracker from any research page and access the trackers you have set up from the navigation bar at the top of the screen.
Please note that analyst commentary (alerts, opinions, and updates) is available exclusively for PrimaGuide users on platforms where Prima serves in a due diligence advisory capacity and for PrimaGuide Plus users. |
| Prima Capital Takes Portfolio Diversification One Step FurtherWe recently expanded our target risk asset allocation models to include “Hedging Strategies”. Prima Capital believes that hedge fund like strategies can add meaningful value when considered as part of a diversified portfolio. These strategies exhibit attractive risk/return characteristics that can improve the risk-adjusted results of a portfolio, notably through lower volatility. | New Enhancements to Prima Capital’s Technology on the Way…
Stay tuned for Prima charts and toolsets with an improved look and interactive nature. Prima routinely gathers advisor and analyst input to prioritize upgrades to our investment research application, PrimaGuide®, and our proposal generation tool, Prima AllocationGuideTM. This feedback, and our decade of experience working with wealth management professionals, helped us design these enhancements. In addition to charts with greater visual appeal, users can expect:
· More flexibility and transparency. Easily set custom time periods, export loads of data to excel, and define user-specific settings that the application remembers across all research charts.
· Greater efficiency. Faster loading charts and PDF reports, including those from toolsets such as the historical simulation.
These enhancements enable advisors and analysts to provide a greater degree of oversight as they explore research data in a more powerful way. See examples here.

| Historical Simulation EnhancementsThe Historical Simulation is one of the more popular toolsets among PrimaGuide® users. Prima’s web developers are busy working on projects aimed at improving its usefulness, flexibility, and efficiency. We would like to inform you of enhancements recently completed and others that will be available soon.
Recently completed…
-
The Historical Simulation toolset can now be further configured to your organization’s preference. Contact your consultant to adjust settings such as the ability to turn on/off specific pages and research elements. For instance, the “credit ratings” table can be removed or its location relative to other analytics can be re-ordered.
-
Users are no longer limited to 20 products per historical simulation portfolio.
- A new PDF creation software tool has been integrated into the historical simulation resulting in reports that are quicker to load.
Coming soon…
-
A more intuitive simulation settings page design.
-
A new “date slider” and pre-established date ranges (3 year, 10 year, etc).
-
The date range available will be determined by the data for the underlying products. A simulation can be generated for the most recent quarter as soon as all the products in the simulation have updated data.
-
Better organization of product data completeness and dates.
-
User ability to turn pages on/off in the historical simulation reports and administrator ability to require pages.
-
A “tag” labeling and organization system for the simulation index page.
-
Blended monthly returns in historical simulations for research elements that benefit from additional data points.
-
The inclusion of Prima’s new returns-based style analytic.
